Occupational Therapy (OT)
Our occupational therapy services are designed to help children develop the skills they need for everyday life. This can include improving their ability to perform basic tasks, participate in school, and interact with their environment. We focus on:
Feeding and Swallowing Therapy
Addressing challenges related to feeding and swallowing, such as difficulty chewing or swallowing safely, as well as issues like food aversion, to improve a child’s nutritional intake and mealtime experiences
Sensory Processing and Regulation
Assisting children who may be over- or under-responsive to sensory stimuli (such as sound, touch, or movement), helping them learn to regulate and respond appropriately to their environment
Support for IDD and Learning Disorders
Our therapists help children with intellectual and developmental disabilities improve daily life skills, attention, and independence, while addressing challenges specific to learning disorders, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other academic difficulties.
Feeding Therapy
Addressing challenges related to feeding, such as food avoidance, picky eating, and sensory intolerance to food textures (e.g., children who only eat solid foods but avoid wet or mixed textures).
Fine Motor Skills
Helping children develop precise movements, such as grasping small objects, using scissors, or buttoning clothes.
Social Participation
Supporting the development of appropriate social skills and peer interactions in various settings, such as school or at play.
Executive Functioning
Strengthening attention, memory, organization, and problem-solving skills to help children complete tasks and make decisions.
Hand-Eye Coordination
Improving coordination for activities such as handwriting, playing sports, and using utensils.
Self-Care Skills
Teaching children to become more independent in activities like dressing, feeding, bathing, and toileting.
